Receptionist/ Patient Advisor - St Albans, Northampton, Aylesbury and Milton Keynes (Mobile)

 

We are currently looking to recruit a Receptionist/ Patient Advisor to work in our brand new laser eye surgery consultation clinic based in St Albans. The Receptionist will work as part of a team to provide a high level of service to the patients and staff and they should have the ability to multi-task in a busy environment. This role is a key part of the patient journey and requires very high personal standards to deliver a quality of care and outstanding customer service.


The receptionist will meet and greet all patients in a courteous and helpful manner when they arrive and to ensure the smooth running of the reception and clinic. The receptionist will carry out duties as directed by the Senior Laser Eye Surgery Advisor / Practice Manager and will be responsible for all incoming calls, diary management (computer).

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Main Duties and key responsibilities:

 

  • You will be responsible for covering the reception area
  • Maintaining a priority for incoming calls
  • To take clear and concise messages and communicate all messages promptly and accurately
  • Provide admin support to the Manager
  • Maintain stationary stocks and oversee the ordering of new supplies
  • To work as a positive team player

Minimum Requirements

This role requires a confident and professional individual who has fantastic organisational skills

  • Previous reception experience essential
  • An articulate and presentable candidate is essential
  • Computer skills would be an advantage
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Enthusiastic and willing to learn
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Extremely professional approach to work
  • The ability to multi-task (an advantage)
  • Demonstrate confidentiality, integrity and discretion
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to work and have a ‘can do’ attitude
