An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Optical Advisor to join our team in Cambridge/Peterborough. Our Optical Advisor's at Optical Express are customer facing and are required to sell the benefits of purchasing glasses or contact lenses with Optical Express. With the ability to build rapport quickly and identifying customer needs, the successful candidate will use their influencing skills to achieve a successful sale.

You will responsible for creating sales opportunities and deliver on challenging but attainable targets with the highest standard of professionalism, quality and service. Talking to existing or potential new Optical Express customers, you will build a rapport, identifying customer needs, and shape the conversation towards a successful sale. Our training is designed to give you the skills and technical ability to successfully match the needs of the customer, as well as keeping you fully informed on competitors, the marketplace and the key factors that will help deliver your sales.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • To do ‘three way’ handovers according to protocol
  • To accurately maintain all manual and computerised customer records in accordance with Data Protection
  • To maximise conversion opportunities with the patients to our premier treatments
  • Maintaining an up to date knowledge on all products and associated key features and benefits
  • Influence and advise potential patients on the most suitable and appropriate solution for their needs
  • Work closely with other store associates to achieve overall store objectives
  • Administrative duties such as stock ordering and stock checking
  • To assist in the running of the store / Clinic, answering the telephone and general reception duties as required
  • To maximise sales by actively targeting potential customers out with the store or shopping centre with promotional material or other means deemed appropriate by the Store /Clinic Manager

Minimum Requirements

  • Fluent English language skills are essential, (IELTS grade 6 or above)
